Boiler Repair Dust Contamination Cleanup

Project Overview

This finished basement restoration project followed a boiler leak that caused flooding and required carpet replacement throughout the space. After the repair work and flooring replacement were completed, fine dust had settled across surfaces, furnishings, shelving, marble areas, and personal belongings.
Post Green Cleaning was brought in to perform a detailed HEPA dust cleanup and restoration cleaning throughout the 2,000-square-foot basement. The goal was to remove settled dust from affected surfaces, protect personal contents, and help return the basement to clean, safe, and comfortable living conditions.

Scope Of Work

This project required a careful cleaning process due to the combination of flood-related repairs, boiler work, and new carpet installation. Our technicians used HEPA-filtered equipment and detailed surface cleaning methods to remove dust from finished areas, furnishings, shelving, decorative items, and hard surfaces.
Because fine dust can travel beyond the immediate work area, the cleaning process extended throughout the basement to address settled particulate matter on exposed and difficult-to-access surfaces. Special attention was given to shelving, display spaces, and other locations where dust commonly accumulates following repair work.
Personal contents, marble surfaces, entertainment areas, and wine storage received detailed attention where fine dust had accumulated. Personal belongings and decorative items were individually cleaned as needed to restore the overall cleanliness of the space.
Industrial air cleaning equipment was used to support indoor air quality during the cleaning process. The result was a cleaner, healthier basement environment with restored surfaces, cleaned contents, and improved overall living conditions.
