Project Overview

Following the collapse of a living room ceiling, fine particulate matter spread throughout the apartment and settled on surfaces including kitchen cabinetry, appliances, fixtures, furnishings, and personal belongings. Large debris was only part of the issue. The collapse generated significant airborne dust that migrated beyond the immediate impact area and became embedded throughout the residence.
Post Green Cleaning was brought in to perform a comprehensive dust remediation service using True HEPA vacuum systems and industrial air scrubbers to remove settled contaminants and restore safe indoor conditions. Our goal was to eliminate both visible debris and microscopic airborne particles that could continue affecting occupant health and indoor air quality long after the collapse occurred.

Scope of work

This project required a multi-phase dust remediation process following a ceiling collapse that impacted the entire apartment. Our team utilized HEPA-filtered equipment and industrial air cleaning machines while following a top-down cleaning protocol designed to capture both settled and airborne particulate matter.
Because dust from structural failures can migrate into adjacent rooms and settle in difficult-to-access locations, every affected area required detailed attention. Special focus was placed on surfaces near air movement pathways, kitchen components, furnishings, fixtures, and elevated areas where fine particulate contamination commonly accumulates.
Technicians worked in full protective equipment while systematically cleaning ceilings, walls, fixtures, cabinetry, appliances, and other impacted surfaces throughout the residence. Industrial air scrubbers remained in operation throughout the project to continuously capture airborne particles and help stabilize indoor air quality during the remediation process.
